Magnepan MG-0.6qr speakers modified by woodworking and Magnepan guru John ("Peter Gunn") of Magnestand. They're beautiful and sound great. The MG-0.6qrs are an MG-12 sized Magnepan speaker. In fact, the MG-0.6qrs are pretty much the grandfather of the MG-12 - they have the Quasi Ribbon tweeter and all the other goodies but also an even slightly larger driver (so they're a big 12 or a mini 1.6 - see the Magnestand link below for a description of the various Magnepan models). The Magnestand mod brings out more of the wonderful Magnepan sound adored by fans all over the world. In fact, the bass is fuller and the midrange is more lush and real. The famous sweet vocals of Magnepan are even more glorious. The detail and resolution is impressive. Includes full hardwood frames in oak and Magnestand's modified crossover with premium parts in external oak enclosures. Only selling because of the economic downturn. The price is very fair, in fact, they're a steal at this price. Don't want to risk shipping so local pickup only please.
