*PENDING....Now moved onto the BIG auction site.*These look about as good as when new. No mods, no tears, no repairs. Very slight "dimple' in one cloth accordion edge surround, that again was probably there when new. No effect on sound. Full specs are available for download. I tried a simple notch filter similar to the ones found for other 12" drivers with whizzer. A little hand tweaking on the inductor and could probably have ended up with a near flat response out to around 12 or 14kHz. Sounded OK just with a .7Mh, in shunt with a 7uf, and 8 ohm resistor.
Add something like a foster super horn, or even a ribbon, and these should sing at near full range. I'd go with a 5 cu. ft. sealed for a .7 system Q with some fiber fill. F3, will be between 44 and 40 Hz. Quite nice, and it has some guts too. Remarkable condition at near 50 years old! If paying by Paypal just figure these at $104, if postal m.o., then $100.
Shipping flat rate of $40 in CONUS only. I also have a pair of X36 crossover modules that I tested only briefly to confirm the did function. No need to notch if you use those, but I actually prefer the notched full range with Foster horn super tweeter(D17...?) Same as radio Shack sold for years as an add on supertweeter.
