A really good speaker.
Purchased new; original and only owner.
Original retail = $550.I bought it brand new it quite a few years ago.No other piece of gear has lasted so long in my stereo systems. Frankly, I love this speaker and wish I could justify keeping these, but they are not being utilized, so time for a new home.
I've been using it as a near field monitor for several years running from a NM vintage Sansui integrated [which is now also for sale--see separate listing]. These are just so listenable and enjoyable. I play them for hours at moderate volume without any listener fatigue. Very musical.
They have surprisingly deep bass for a modest size speaker with a FRONT port, which is great for room placement.
I think they are rated to go to 40 HZ range, which is unusual for a modest monitor.
The drivers seem like they will last forever. Okay, I hate to see this go, but it's time for a change.
These are built in Canada; great quality. 19 x 9.5 x 9 I'd rate these about an 8 overall. Really excellent overall.
Basically, if you saw these you'd think they are a well cared for pair of speakers that look 5 years old.
The cabinets, drivers, etc. look very good. All the veneer looks very good. The bottom of the cabinet does have a number of light scratches from being moved around. But, you're never going to be looking at the bottom of the cabinet are you? :)
Speakers are a medium black veneer. There is some minor wear on the side of the fabric of one grill cover. Other than that they grills look quite good.

I will also let you know that despite their modest size, these things can ROCK!.
No, I don't mean concert levels, but I do mean they will play quite loud without notable strain.
But, what I love about them is you can just listen to them for hours on a wide variety of music.
