Well regarded Soliloquy 5.0 Monitors that do not come up for sale very often. Mate well with tubes and solid state amps. They are finished in a beautiful maple veneer. The cabinet build quality is exceptional. They are rock solid and obviously well made. The electronics and drivers were designed by Phil Jones a very well respected audio engineer and founder of Acoustic Energy (he designed the famous AE-1 near field monitor) and later founded Platinum Audio. These speakers are very well reviewed in multiple publications available online. There are very minor wear spots and no scratches. Some surface finish fading is visible on the fronts and sides of the speakers. Overall, however, the appearance is excellent, considering their age. This pair was built on 12/26/99. The grills are not available with the speakers. Because of their heavy weight, each speaker will be shipped separately in their own box. Each speaker will be surrounded in molded foam to ensure safe arrival.
