Here is a matched pair of super rare Brimar 6057 tubes; these are the uber ultimate 12AX7s known as the "half box plate" or "single flange" variety of phono grade ECC83/12AX7s. These are also similar to some CV-4004 types, but the 6057 designation was top of the line. These look, test and sound like new. This is a reluctant sale during these tough times. These tubes both test close and very strong. On my trusty Hickok transconductance tube tester, a test result of 875 represents a 65% good tube. New tubes of this type typically read 1200 or higher. The first tube tested at 1450/875 & 1600/875. The next tube tested at 1400/875 and 1400/875. These passed the Gas and Shorts tests and the Life test shows very strong tubes. These results indicate a very nice pair of phono grade 12AX7 tubes which should last for many decades. They will be carefully packed and will come in white boxes. These are some of the greatest tubes for our hifi applications.
