Here is a nice sounding trio, a set of three genuine Sherwood branded "Made in West Germany" by Siemens ECC83/12AX7 tubes. These are the legendary, small plates "ribbed" or "ladder" plate type variety of tubes, with acid-etched date codes on the sides and with seamed tops up top; plus these have the remnants of genuine "Sherwood" logo labelling. While the logos are worn, these three tubes test strong and test close; as a collectible set of three phono grade European made small plate vintage tubes should. On my trusty Hickok transconductance tube tester, a test result of 875 represents a 65% good tube and new tubes of this type typically yield 1300 or higher per triode section. The first tube, with worn logo, dated I62 over =2D, tests strongly at 1325 & 1275. The second tube, with worn logo, is also dated I62 over =2D and tested at 1300 & 1200. The third tube, with well worn logo, also dated I62 over =2D tested at 1300 and 1300; indicating a good set of three genuine European made small plate tubes. These tubes passed the Shorts and Gas tests plus show strong Life Test results when filament voltage was lowered during testing; confirming these are very good, vintage early 1960s European tubes. A brief listening test in my phono preamp verifies a very nice sounding, non-microphonic, matched set of three phono grade, genuine West German made small plate 1960s vintage tubes. This rare set of three ECC83 tubes will easily last a few more years. No tube boxes are included, but these will be very safely packed and will arrive safe and sound...
