H/K vintage fans know this tuner as a hit and miss proposition. Many were problematic. But, some were refurbished by H/K, and that is what I have.
I only learned of its spotty history long after I had been using it with
satisfaction for years. I got one of the good ones, bought from Audio Classics as a factory refurbished. I think one of the indicator lights on the pushbuttons is burned out. I am in a fringe area for my favorite station, and without a good antenna.
Maybe the signal grabbing ability has faded a little over the years. The sound has always been very good, given a strong enough signal. I have replaced it, wanting more longevity into the future. I don't want to send it to recycling. Make an offer, even if it is to just pay for my shipping.
A DIY guy could replace aging parts and make a project out of it. If you have strong signals, I think you will like the sound as it is. Audiogon form does not let me leave asking price blank. Buyer will pay actual shipping charge, double boxing by a shipping service could be done, in that case it could ship UPS or USPS.
