This is a fully functioning turntable that holds speed well and sounds great. There is a motion sensor that triggers the auto lift at the end on the record. This avoids any mecahnical linkage to the tonearm which adds drag. Other than that, it is manual. Cosmetically, it is in very good condition and the dustcover has been buffed out and looks great for it's age. No cracks or chips just some typical fine swirls and lines which are inevitable. There are some marks/issues in the front black strip which I have tried to show in the pic.
Note: The counterweight stub is rubber suspended and is not rigid by design to dampen resonances so the stub droops with weight, it is not broken!
The mat shown in the pics was brittle and gave off a chemical odor due to age so I tossed it. I will include a felt mat of equal thickness instead.I will include a working ortofon TM-14 cartridge if the buyer wants it at my asking price only. I will pack this TT well, double boxed with the platter and counterweight packed separate in the outer box. Actual shipping charges with insurance via fedex ground to be covered by the buyer. Expect it to be $30 + due to double box size. Copy of the Denon dp-30l II is available on vinylengine which is identical in function except it has a straight tonearm. I have perfect feedback on audiogon under rotarius and ebay under rotarius7. Buy with confidence!
