For sale, a newly restored Rek-O-Kut N-33H turntable, made in US 1959. With its original restored rewired ESL S-1000 tonearm, made by Ortofon Denmark. For the person who loves the vintage gear without sacrificing sound quality. Completely gone through. New paint on all upper surfaces, new sturdy rigid plinth made from MDF (painted black.) Motor bearing cleaned and lubed, turntable spindle micro polished. Silicon Nitride ball bearing. Platter cleaned and polished on lathe (these tend to be tarnished and some of that remains). New, correct rubber motor mounts. Tonearm rebuilt and polished. Bearings are very precise. New rubber connector on counterweight, new Cardas litz wiring. Headshell restored with new connector (special EMT-style pattern, not compatible with other, newer tonearms). New RCA connectors on the back. N33H is 33.3 RPM only, belt drive with new belt and felt platter mat. Speed is spot on, tested with strobe. Original mid-century modern design by George Nelson design firm. Newly painted gray steel top is not perfect but certainly presentable. Vintage tonearm works okay with modern cartridges, vertical tracking force can be precisely adjusted using a scale. All manual, of course, and no lift or dust cover. There is no hum or rumble. Use well-shielded interconnects to your phono section. Includes manuals. Turntable will be well-packed with tonearm isolated. Shipping within US by FedEx ground. Asking $675, plus ship. Thanks for looking. -Pete email direct - Babylonart@aol.com
