About 1.5 years ago, I got the bug to give analog a try. After doing some research, I decided a fully upgraded DD Technics table was the way to go. During my investigation, I contacted Jim Howard @ Applied Fidelity. We spoke and I ended up purchasing a highly modified/upgraded SP-25 from Jim. The project took about 1 year to complete. Unfortunately, during the wait, I lost interest in analog. The table has been sitting, unused, for the last 6 months. It is time to move it along to a person who will use and enjoy it.

This table has just about every upgrade possible for an SP-25. The upgrades include:

1. The SP-25, which was Jim's personal table. it is in outstanding mechanical and cosmetic condition.

2. A beautiful 4-layer baltic birch plinth (not made by Jim Howard). Had this plinth made and shipped to Jim, who assembled the table for me. The plinth comes with a removable arm board that has been drilled for a 9 inch arm (Magnepan Unitrac, also for sale -see below). The arm board can be rotated and re-drilled for a 9 or 12 inch arm, or the arm board can be replaced.

3. The top of the line bearing by Applied Fidelity, which I believe is Jim's G3 bearing.

4, Applied Fidelity's black Delrin mat. With this mat, the combined platter weight is significantly increased

5. Applied Fidelity custom made footers

6. Applied Fidelity clamp

7. KAB strobe disabler; and

8. MCRU Linear Power Supply - http://www.mains-cables-r-us.co.uk/linear-power-supply-selector/525-regulated-linear-power-supply-selector.html#

In addition, I have the above-mentioned Magnepan Unitrac tonearm. Again, this was Jim Howard's personal tonearm which he sold to me as part of the project. This arm has been rewired by Jim with his silver phono cable. The arm is in excellent condition.

If you like Technics, I believe this table is about as good as it gets, except for perhaps the ultra expensive SP10 MK III.

I would like to sell everything listed above for $2000 + shipping in the continental US. I am firm on the price. I believe this represents a great value, particularly since the project is complete. There is no wait involved if you are considering a similar project.

I live in the SF Bay area and a local buyer would be preferred, but have no problem shipping the table.

I have never sold anything on the Asylum, but I have on Audiogon. My user name is jwr159. Feel free to check my perfect rating.

Thanks for looking.
