I've been looking at V-Cap CuTF caps for a while but thought too pricy. I have a McIntosh C22 pre-amp I have been upgrading and have used Mundorf Silver/Gold Oil caps and wasn't too impressed with sound quality. Several weeks ago I thought ok, I'll give the CuTF's a go. I bought 6, 4x 0.01uf that connect directly to 4 of the 6 12ax7 valves and 2x 0.22uf that go to valve 4 & 5. Well, I am seriously impressed with the change to sound quality. Bass is substantially improved in tone and tight snappy definition and the vocals are clearer and better defined. So much so that I have ordered 8 more CuTF's (3 different values) complete the job. Can hardly wait for them to arrive and whack 'em in. Have been trying for musical nirvana for a long time. My power amp is a McIntosh MC275 driving 10" Tannoy vintage Super Gold Moniters.

Just bought a pair of OIMP caps to upgrade my dht pre-amp. Right out of the box, or bubblewrap, there was a noticeable improvement. The caps replaced are Clarity caps, and are not bad at all, but the V Caps are better. They come closer to no cap at all
